A play by Ali Foumani consists of four stories unfolding across twelve scenes. Within the structure of this play, four monologues are trying to turn into a dialogue. Ali Foumani, born in 1978, is a poet, writer, and theater director. He is afflicted by a chronic and challenging illness for which treatment efforts have thus far been unsuccessful. The name of his condition is “hopefulness.”
