Barakat's life takes an extraordinary turn when he unexpectedly becomes his company's general manager upon applying for a regular position. He now leads a double life: a middle-class family man and a wealthy executive enjoying unimaginable luxury, all under the same roof. This bizarre situation is further complicated by the emergence of a third personality, living yet another life. Torn between these multiple realities, Barakat embarks on a quest to discover his true identity within a contradictory modern society. Abdulaziz Al-Saqabi, a Saudi novelist and playwright with experience at the King Fahd National Library and in cultural journalism, is the author of this story. His novel, “A Nap at Noon,” published by Dar Al Saqi, was translated into Chinese and received the "Literature Award" in the National Cultural Awards Initiative in Saudi Arabia in 2021.
