"The Child and Where Is This" is a volume in the World of Drama series. The World of Drama is a collection of texts written for or about the stage. The series includes a variety of plays, whether for performance or simply to be read, including plays adapted from literary or cinematic works, as well as theoretical texts in the field of drama and criticism of theatrical works. "Where Is This" presents a familiar and at the same time alien image of expectation. A woman, with desires and longings she carries from the past, finds herself in a situation steeped in expectation that is familiar to us, and gradually this situation becomes more unfamiliar. "The Child" is a play that results from what we have witnessed in recent years around illegal immigrants. Immigrants who are often absent, rejected, and even nonexistent. This play embodies the situation of all mothers who have lost their children in war, chaos, and torture, or who know they will one day lose them but are trying tooth and nail to prevent that day from coming. The first thematic layer of both plays is about migration, which is why they are included in one volume.
