The Migration Trilogy brings together three plays, Australia, The People of Calais, and Mediterranean, each exploring the theme of migration and displacement from a different perspective.

Reflecting on the work, the author writes:

"Migration is not merely a physical act, and perhaps that is why literature is so deeply drawn to it. In migration, identity loses its certainty and must be reconstructed. Migration seems to share an existential affinity with the creative process itself, involving collapse, fragmentation, and renewal. From Odysseus's journey to Dante's pilgrimage, and from Faust's quest to the passages of Anna Karenina, Bloom, and Jean Valjean, migration has long been one of literature's most compelling sources of suffering and inspiration. I sought to explore that suffering and temptation in these three plays. Throughout my life, many people around me have migrated, sometimes physically and sometimes in other ways. I do not know what became of the migrants themselves, but with each departure, something within me collapsed, split apart, and was transformed. I considered emigrating several times and even took steps toward it, yet I was never able to reconcile the idea within myself. Perhaps that is why I wrote about it. I wrote in the hope of somehow recovering what I had lost."
