This book is a collection of thirty-one treatises by Khwaja Ahmad Kasani (949-868 AH), nicknamed Makhdoom Azam, one of the great Sufi sheikhs in Transoxiana, written on various and varied subjects and in fact, they are instructions for the common life of the people in accordance with the tendencies of the Naqshbandiyya sect and with a relaxed approach. These treatises are a clear representation of the mind and language of Transoxiana Sufis in the ninth and tenth centuries AH.
