This meaningless notebook is the memories of Iraj Afshar from childhood to the end of his life, which he did not have time to finalize. Because the dominant aspect of Afshar's activities was in cultural life, naturally, most of the content of this book consists of the same type of topics, although it is not devoid of some personal content. and Faglai, Iran, the publication of the book "Gardani Magazine" and "Library and Librarianship" are the topics of some chapters of this book. Afshar's daily notes from the years 1386 and 1387 are also given in the second part of the book.

این دفتر بی معنی خاطرات ایرج افشار از کودکی تا اواخر عمر است که خود مجال نهایی کردن آن را نیافت. چون وجه غالب فعالیت های افشار در زندگی فرهنگی بود طبعاً بیشتر مطالب این کتاب را همین نوع مباحث تشکیل می دهد، اگرچه خالی از بعضی مطالب شخصی نیز نیست ایرانشناسی و زبان فارسی برخی کنگره ها و مجامع بین المللی و داخلی در همین حوزه شرق شناسان ادبا و فضلای ،ایران نشر کتاب مجله گردانی و کتابخانه و کتابداری موضوعات بعضی از فصل های این کتاب .است همچنین یادداشت های روزانه افشار از سالهای 1386 و 1387 نیز در بخش دوم کتاب آورده شده است.
