Professor of Iranian philology Arthur Christensen talks about the magnificent history of Persia, which goes back several thousand years and extends over an enormous area. The book was written in 1930 when Persia is facing major upheavals and challenges. The First World War turned the whole world upside down, and it could also be felt in Persia. Arthur Christensen (1875-1945) was a Danish writer, journalist and professor of Iranian philology. During his life, Arthur Christensen made several trips to the Islamic Orient, where he studied culture, spoken language, and folk psychology. Many of Arthur Christensen's books have been translated into foreign languages, and he is considered one of Denmark's greatest researchers of Islamic Orientalism.
