The book "Looking at the sky in the night" including short stories from Latin American writers has been translated into Farsi by "Gasem Sanavi". In the introduction of this work, the publisher said: "European writers, in the 18th century, almost abandoned the short story as a form of narrative expression. This abandonment, despite the works of Sartre and Camus, is more evident in France than in England, for example. But on the contrary, in Latin America, the short story as a special literary type has developed increasingly. In Spanish-speaking countries, it is as popular as Brazil and the United States. Gradually, as American literature evolves towards further development, the technique and goals of the short story are also perfected, its importance as a means of expression is increased, and its originality is emphasized.
