The book "Rebellious Rebels" is written by Maziar Behrouz, an assistant professor at San Francisco State University, based on his dissertation for the University of California, Los Angeles. Maziar Behrooz is the son of Jahangir Behrooz, who was a member of the Tudeh party in the years before the coup d'etat of 28 August 1332 and worked with the editors of several party publications. The author has tried to follow the scientific methodology to report the process of the left movement and its ups and downs in the text of the contemporary history of Iran and more importantly to investigate the causes of the failure of the left in Iran. Maziar Behrouz (born: 1337 in Tehran), is considered one of the contemporary historians and history researchers, in the field of history and flow of the left movement in Iran. His book, Armankhah Rebels, is one of the sources of research on leftist parties and movements in contemporary Iran. Maziar Behrouz can be considered one of the historians and history scholars of the left movement in Iran. His book, Shurshian Armankhah, which was written as his doctoral encyclopedia and later completed and published as a book, is considered one of the sources in the history of left parties in Iran. His next book, titled Reflections on the History of Armankhah Rebels, which was published in Tehran in 2005, is a continuation of his previous book. In addition to several books and a large number of articles related to the history of left-wing political movements in Iran, he has also conducted numerous researches in the field of different eras of Iranian history, especially the Safavid era, the Qajar era, and the history of constitutionalism. Many articles and interviews of him have been published in Persian magazines of Iran and he has also published articles in English in various press of the world.
