There are two types of philosophy: one follows the trodden paths of the philosophical tradition and great thinkers, and the other is a philosophy whose followers leave the old ways, enter a more virgin territory, and apply a philosophical approach to new issues. The philosophy of design is placed in the second group because none of the branches of philosophy has so far placed the design in the focus of its attention. Today, design has such popularity and prestige that philosophy cannot ignore it. In fact, among the recent sayings and hadiths about the "end of art", it can be said that nowadays design has overshadowed art in terms of cultural importance. If so, perhaps the time has come for a philosophical examination of design. The design philosophy is dedicated to such an investigation. It outlines the realm of design philosophy and shows that the concerns of design are deeply related to the fundamental questions that occupy the minds of philosophers.
