The famous book by Fars by Ali ibn Ahmad Asadi Tusi (after 1 AH) is the oldest Persian vocabulary that has many values in architeism and poetry studies. Of this book, some of the most valuable differences with each other have been out of the reach of the scholars, despite their great reputation, and it was not possible to refer to them except through the prints of this book. Now in the present book, six dirty manuscripts have been published with introductions to each one through the translation copy.

کتاب مشهور به لغت فرس از علی بن احمد اسدی طوسی(بعد از ۴۶۵ ق)، کهن ترین لغتنامۀ فارسی است که ارزش های فراوانی در مطالعات واژه شناسی و شعر شناسی دارد. از این کتاب دستنویس های چندی باقی مانده که تفاوت های اساسی با یکدیگر دارند برخی از معتبرترین دستنویس های لغت فرس با وجود شهرت فراوان سال ها دور از دسترس محققان بوده و مراجعه به آنها جز به واسطه چاپ های این کتاب امکان پذیر نبوده است. اینک در کتاب حاضر شش دستنویس دیریاب لغت فرس با مقدمه هایی در معرفی هر یک به طریق نسخه برگردان به چاپ رسیده است.
