Please Be Seated - Winnie & Bessie is the final book in the series of three in which the author explores unique chairs from around the globe. Some are rather old yet still elegant, some are relatively contemporary and practical and one has seen far better days!

The memories and histories of these chairs are shared by the author in these tales and in addition a variety of dogs, who have also very much enjoyed the chairs as much as their owners, have been included.

The author, Gun Bjerkander Handberg, who during her long career has been an art and antique dealer, museum curator, lecturer, columnist and auctioneer, offers her unique take on the tales of twenty specially selected chairs.  Each chapter explores the chair and the lives of the people who have lived and used the chair and occasionally the dogs who have also been allowed to enjoy the chair!
