Svenska Brevlådor Berättar, Oväntad konst längs gator och vägar Swedish 2022

The painted mailboxes in Skåne convey fantastic stories. They tell so vividly about life, historical events, nature, family and beloved pets. The artists have depicted geese and other birds flying over lovely beaches, landscapes and farms. The paintings are tender and joyful portraits of loving relationships, colorful flowers and green forests. There are boats that take people to idyllic places along mountains and lakes, and paintings that show the love of gardening or pride in one's home.

Unfortunately, these painted mailboxes are disappearing little by little in southern Sweden. My book is a tribute to the mailboxes that still stand in all their glory outside homes, in our neighborhood. The letterboxes are reflections on life and deserve appreciation and a wider audience. With this book I want to share the joy they bring to me.
