“Atash-e Pārsi (The Persian Fire) – Volume II is the continuation of Hamid Yazdanparast’s study of the life, thought, and era of Sa‘di Shirazi. In its third and fourth sections, the book examines the intellectual, ethical, and literary dimensions of this great Persian poet.

The third section explores themes such as love, romantic contemplation, ethics, and Sa‘di’s understanding of human relationships. Drawing on Sa‘di’s works, the author analyzes the poet’s worldview and intellectual perspectives. The fourth section focuses on Sa‘di’s writings and literary works, examining the significance and position of each of his major works within Persian literature.

In this volume, Yazdanparast emphasizes Sa‘di’s unparalleled role in shaping Persian culture, ethics, and language. From his perspective, Sa‘di was not only a great poet but also a social and moral teacher who conveyed human and educational values to later generations through a language that was simple, eloquent, and enduring.

The contribution of Sa‘di to the development of the Persian language is one of the central themes of this study. The author demonstrates how the strong and epic language of Ferdowsi, after several centuries, evolved in Sa‘di’s works into a refined, delicate, and balanced form of expression that later became a model for Persian-speaking writers and poets.
