Darkub-e Baran-khordeh (The Rain-Soaked Woodpecker) is the autobiography of Kurdish-Iranian writer Mansour Yaghouti. Beginning with his 1948 birth in the Kermanshah village of Kivanan, it traces his Kurdish childhood steeped in folk songs and Pahlavi-rooted language, his political awakening, teaching years, the 1979 revolution, and five years in prison. Through portraits of his heroin-addicted brother Hushang, fellow writers, and his father Baba Asad, Yaghouti chronicles a generation's shattered ideals.

«دارکوب بارانخوردە» زندگینامهی منصور یاقوتی، نویسندهی کرد ایرانی است. کتاب از تولد او در اسفند 1327 در روستای کیوهنان کرمانشاه آغاز میشود و کودکی آمیخته با ترانهها، افسانهها و زبان کردی ریشهدار در پهلوی، سالهای آموزگاری، اعتصاب معلمان، پیوستن به جنبش، انقلاب 57، و پنج سال زندان دیزلآباد را روایت میکند. با چهرههایی چون برادر گرفتار هرویین هوشنگ، بردیا، مایباد و بابا اسد، یاقوتی سرگذشت نسلی آرمانخواه و شکستخورده را مینویسد.
