Setārehā-ye Dasht-e Betonī Persian 2025

The story begins with what seems like an ordinary, everyday incident between two teenage friends named Aseman and Uranus, taking place in the Ekbatan residential complex. Uranus is a fifteen-year-old girl who lives with her mother, Azar, in one of the apartments. Their lives are closely tied to Moein, an old friend and colleague of Azar’s, who—due to various emotional and social circumstances—has arrived at a defined distance in their relationship: a place that does not quite fit within conventional social norms, yet he still tries not to withhold his support and care for her and her daughter.

Through the narration of the bittersweet, spirited, and light-footed experiences and relationships of these two teenagers—as well as those of their peers and the adults around them—the story attempts to present a picture of current political and social conditions in Iran, along with a brief reflection on its historical background.
