T. S. Eliot wrote 18 essays in the book The Social Function of Poetry. These essays are mainly selected from three collections of essays by T. S. Eliot (1888-1965), a prominent English-American poet, playwright, and literary critic; seven essays from the book "On Poetry and Poets", six essays from the book "Selected Essays; 1917-19322", four essays from the book Selected Prose Works of T. S. Eliot, and one essay from the book The Use of Poetry and the Use of Criticism. In the present book, the arrangement of the essays is based on the date of their publication.
