Dinkard IV is the shortest part of Dinkard and has nearly five thousand words. This part of religion is taken from the regulations (in Parsig: Ivin Namag) which are in the era Shahneshah Khosrow Anushirvan compiled and written. The Sasanian Code, which was an encyclopedia of various sciences, has disappeared. Despite all this, a few writers of Iranian descent have translated some of its words into Arabic. The regulations were available until the time of Masoudi (4th Islamic century, 10th century Tarsai).

دینکرد چهارم کوتاه‌ترین بخش دینکرد است و نزدیک به پنج هزار واژه دارد. این بهر از دینکرد برگرفته از آیین نامه (به پارسیگ: ایوین نامگ) است که به روزگار شاهنشاه خسرو انوشیروان گردآوری و نوشته شده. آیین نامه‌ی ساسانی، که دانشنامه‌ای در دانش‌های گوناگون بوده از میان رفته است. با همه‌ی این، یک چند نویسنده‌ی ایرانی تبار سخنانی چند از آن را به عربی گزارده‌اند. آیین نامه تا زمان مسعودی (سده چهارم اسلامی، سده دهم ترسایی) به دست بود.
