The following book is a narrative of one of the great men of Iranian history, Amir Kabir, an influential man whom history remembers well. The story of the book takes place in the form of letters that the teenager Shahrazad sends to his brother abroad. He, who has just found out about the descendants of Amir Kabir, describes the life of Amir Kabir in the form of letters, and in a readable and boring way, without distorting the history, he introduces Chancellor Naseruddin Shah to the audience using simple and fluent words. There are two parallel stories in this book, one is the story of Shahrzad and his divided family, and the other is the story of Mirza Taqi Khan Farahani, who is the historical root of this family.

کتاب پیش رو روایتی است از یکی از مردان بزرگ تاریخ ایران، امیرکبیر، مردی تاثیرگذار که تاریخ از او به نیکی یاد می‌کند. داستان کتاب در قالب نامه‌هایی که شهرزاد نوجوان به برادرش در خارج از کشور می‌فرستد پیش می‌رود. او که به‌تازگی پی برده از نوادگان امیرکبیر است، در قالب نامه‌ها زندگی امیرکبیر را شرح می‌دهد و به‌شکلی خواندنی و دور از کسالت، بدون آنکه تاریخ را تحریف کند، با بهره از کلماتی ساده و روان صدراعظم ناصرالدین شاه را به مخاطب می‌شناساند. در این کتاب دو داستان موازی هم پیش می‌روند، یکی داستان شهرزاد و خانواده‌ی دوپاره‌شده‌ی او و دیگری داستان میرزاتقی‌خان فراهانی که ریشه‌ی تاریخی این خانواده است.
