پژوهشی تاریخی در فاجعۀ اتمی چرنوبیل و ریشه‌ها، تبعات، پیامدها و تأثیرات آن. کتاب «چرنوبیل: از آخرالزمان هسته‌ای تا فروپاشی شوروی»، با عنوان اصلی Chernobyl: The History of a Nuclear Catastrophe، چنانکه سرهی پلوخی، نویسندۀ کتاب، خود در پیشگفتار آن تأکید می‌کند «در واقع نخستین تاریخ جامع فاجعۀ چرنوبیل از زمان انفجار رآکتور هسته‌ای تا بستن نیروگاه در دسامبر سال 2000 و مراحل نهایی تکمیل حفاظ ایمنی جدید روی رآکتور آسیب‌دیده در می 2018 است.»
