Farhad and Shirin is a poem that depicts a story full of love and passionate emotions with a simple language. One of the Persian dramatic works that Vahzeh Bafghi started to create, but he was not given the deadline to finish it. This work was created by interfering with a military work and presents a love story with a different style of story-writing and atmosphere creation and has a new look at the category of love. Bafghi's story has characters with the same name as the military system, but there are differences between their traits and actions, which gives it a different flavor.

فرهاد و شیرین منظومه ای است که با زبانی ساده داستانی سرشار از عشق و عواطف پرشور را به تصویر می کشد. یکی از آثار دراماتیک فارسی که وحشی بافقی آغاز به خلق آن کرد اما اجل مهلت به پایان رساندنش را به او نداد. این اثر با دخل و تصرف در اثر نظامی شکل گرفته و داستانی عاشقانه را با سبک داستان نویسی و فضاسازی متفاوت به نمایش گذاشته و نگاهی جدید به مقوله عشق دارد. داستان بافقی دارای شخصیت هایی هم نام با منظومه نظامی است اما تفاوت هایی میان خصلت ها و کردار آن ها وجود دارد که به آن رنگ و بویی دیگر می بخشد.
