Our Great Despair is the fourth novel of the young writer Barish Bichakchi, which has brought him great success. This novel, which was also made into a movie in 2011, tells the story of two middle-aged men's long-lasting friendship in their childhood city of Ankara, a city from which Bichakci can truly be considered a writer. The story begins with the entry of Nahal into the life of two friends, a young girl who is the younger sister of their childhood friend and is forced to live with these two friends for a while. But the arrival of the young sapling affects the lives of the two men more than they imagined.
