Half a century ago, we were told to start from yourself, from your Weber era, and from your grandmother-grandfather, and we, young writers, leave those years to the hands of subsequent events. I only had one grandfather who was usually unavailable. So this guide does not work for me at all. Amazingly, those years around us were empty of ideas, especially since we had not yet reached the age of love and politics. When there is no idea, what is the motivation to write?
As a young writer, I always had and still have a keen ear for listening. But where do the stories come from? Probably from life experiences, from reading, having sharp eyes and ears, the pleasure of writing, and that God must love you.

نیم قرن پیش به ما گفتند از خودتان،از دور وبر خودتان و از مادر بزرگ - پدر بزرگ خودتان شروع کنید و ما نویسندگان جوان آن سال ها را به دست حوادث بعدی می سپرند. من فقط یک پدر بزرگ داشتم که معمولا در دسترس نبود. پس این رهنمود مطلقا به درد من نمی خورد. به طرز شگفت انگیزی آن سال ها دور و بر ما خالی از ایده بود.خاصه که هنوز به سن عشق و سیاست نرسیده بودیم. وقتی هم ایده ای نیست،چه انگیز ه ای برای نوشتن می ماند؟
نویسنده ی جوانی که من بودم همیشه گوش تیزی برای شنیدن داشتم و دارم. ولی این که قصه ها از کجا می آیند؟ احتمالا از تجربه های زندگی،از خواندن ها، چشم و گوش تیز داشتن،لذت نوشتن،و اینکه خدا باید دوستت داشته باشد.
