Encountering the fraudster who blew the writer's life savings. In fact, in this work, the author avoids generally pessimistic reflections in this work in a wide and multidimensional way, reflections on the past, present, and future of the artist-writer himself, and in general on humanity and the world order, in terms of political and social, legal and economic, religious and cultural and artistic. Such an approach creates a dizzying quality in writing and narrating, and this is just similar to the situation that the author himself experiences during the loss of property and the subsequent loss of meaning.

قریشی در این جستار، با رویکردی که تا حدی به‌شکلی از فلسفیدن به‌خصوص در حوزۀ روان‌شناسی اجتماعی پهلو می‌زند، وضعیتی را که در آن گرفتار آمده ریشه‌یابی می‌کند. این فرایندْ برآمده از کاوش در تجربه‌ای به‌ظاهر شخصی است: مواجهه با مرد کلاهبرداری که اندوختۀ یک عمرِ نویسنده را به باد داده است. در واقع نویسنده در این اثر به‌طور گسترده و چندبعدی به تأملاتی عموماً بدبینانه گریز می‌زند، تأملاتی در گذشته و حال و آیندۀ خودِ هنرمند ـ نویسنده‌اش، و به‌طور کلی در نوع بشر و نظم جهانی، به‌لحاظ سیاسی و اجتماعی، حقوقی و اقتصادی، مذهبی و فرهنگی و هنری. چنین رویکردی در نوشتن و روایت کردن خاصیتی سرگیجه‌آور پدید می‌آورد و این درست مشابه همان حال‌ و روزی است که خود نویسنده در جریان مال‌باختگی و معناباختگی‌های در پی آن دچارش می‌شود.
