The current translation of Antony Kenny's History of Western Philosophy is important from two points of view: First, editing the original text in English, which, contrary to the readers' imagination, does not have many parallels in the universal English language. What is famous in this field and has been translated into Farsi is the history of Western philosophy by Bertrand Russell, the great philosopher of the 20th century, and the other one, which is much more detailed and goes into the substantive issues of philosophy more than Russell, is the history of philosophy of Frederick Copleston. And secondly, the Persian translation of this book is eloquent, precise, and easy to read. I, who am more or less familiar with translated philosophical works or original texts, have rarely seen a book as informative as this and a translation as meaningful as this.
