Aliksi Dimitri Yuvich Saltikuf, Russian painter, was attached to Eastern arts. In 1838 he went to Iran. This book gives us useful information about the roads and people's life of some cities of Iran in the beginning of 19th century and contains 16 drawings that the writer himself has drawn them and shows the faces and dresses of people of that time.

آلكسي دميتري يويچ سالتيكوف، نقاش روسي، كه به آثار هنرمندان شرق، دلبستگي بسيار داشته است. به سال 1838 ميلادي رهسپار ايران مي شود. اين كتاب گذشته از اطلاعات سودمندي كه از وضع راهها و زندگي مردم چند شهر ايران در آغاز قرن نوزدهم به دست مي دهد، حاوي هيجده پرده از نقاشيهايي است كه نويسنده خود كشيده و در آنها چهره ي مردمان و لباس مرسوم آن زمان رانشان داده است.
