The author of the present book, Nyanatiloka, is the first German Buddhist and the first Buddhist from Europe. He was one of the outstanding wise of "Theravada" Buddha ceremony which is the oldest Buddhist tradition. The English text of the present book is selected from the original text of the "Pali" and the great collections of "Sutta-Pitaka". The present book consists of texts, definitions, explanations and important words with their "Pali" terminology.

نيانه تي لوكا، نويسنده اين كتاب نخستين بودايي آلماني تبار و نخستين بودايي از قاره اروپا بود. او از دانايان برجسته آيين بوداي "تيره واده" بود كه به قولي كهن ترين سنت بودايي است. متن انگليسي اين كتاب از متن پالي و از ميان مجموعه هاي بزرگ "سوته پيتكه" برگزيده شده است. اين كتاب، متن ها، تعريف ها، توضيحات و واژه هاي مهم را نيز با اصطلاحات پالي آنها به همراه دارد
