In Mariefrent city begin to happen strange things. Dark forces are trying to take control. Unknown how, the Vigo brothers and Alrik have chosen to protect the secret library. Older guards, under the house which is the library, submit the brothers to a test, considering that it is too small to become guardians. Soon, however, the situation is very dangerous, and Alrik and Vigo must seem very brave and clever to avoid losing their lives.

Στην πόλη Μαριεφρέντ αρχίζουν να συμβαίνουν παράξενα πράγματα. Σκοτεινές δυνάμεις προσπαθούν να πάρουν τον έλεγχο. Άγνωστο πώς, τα αδέλφια Βίγκο και Άλρικ έχουν επιλεγεί για να προστατέψουν τη μυστική βιβλιοθήκη.
