Ḥamīd Muʼadhinī

Hamid Moazzeni (born 1969, Bushehr, Iran) is an Iranian author, researcher, journalist, and documentary filmmaker whose work has spanned more than three decades across the fields of culture, media, sociology, cinema, and urban studies. He began his professional career in filmmaking and journalism before going on to serve as an editor-in-chief, columnist, and contributor for numerous newspapers, magazines, and cultural publications. Over the years, he has also directed and edited a variety of cultural and social journals while leading research projects on the history, art, and cultural heritage of Bushehr.

His publications cover a wide range of subjects, including the history of cinema and photography, football, media, popular culture, and social criticism. An interdisciplinary perspective, with particular attention to the relationship between technology, culture, and power, is a defining characteristic of his work.
