Golestān-e Sa‘dī: chand-zabāneh Persian 1984

Golestān by Saadi of Shiraz, a lasting masterpiece of Persian literature, is regarded as one of the greatest works of Persian prose from the seventh century AH (thirteenth century CE). In this edition, the work is presented in a multilingual format. The Persian text of the Golestān is based on the critical scholarly edition prepared by Mohammad-Ali Foroughi, compiled through the efforts of Mohsen Ramazani, and is considered one of the most authoritative and widely recognized modern versions of the text. In addition to the original Persian text, this volume introduces several distinguished translations of the Golestān, reflecting the work’s global reception and enduring international significance. These include an Arabic translation by Mohammad al-Furati, an English translation by Richard Burton, and a French translation by Pierre Seghers.
