In this chapter, firstly, the importance of jurisprudence research on epistemic foundations has been briefly discussed and the impact of epistemic differences in the process of jurisprudential inference has been explained. The principles governing the epistemology of the Sadra tradition have been deduced and the analysis and criticism of these principles have been followed according to the understanding and interpretation of a number of commentators of the Sadr scholar in the contemporary era.

در این فصل ابتدا به اجمال از اهمیت فقه ی پژوهش درباره ی مبانی معرفتی سخن رفته است و اثرگذاری اختلافهای معرفتی در فرایند استنباط فقهی تبیین شده است. اصول موضوعه ی حاکم بر معرفت شناسی سنتِ صدرایی استنباط شده اند و تحلیل و نقادی این اصول مطابق با فهم و تفسیر تعدادی از مفسران صدر پژوه در دورانِ معاصر دنبال شده است.
