This novel is a description of events that were happened in the first middle of 20th century in Birmih. A part of these events is the biography of "Tibav" the king of Birmih and other courtiers. In seven years of his kingdom he didn't came out of his palace just for one time. One of his wives, "Supayalat", had up will opposite "Tibav" who was calm and quite. She was rude and ordered to kill all royal members. She was the causer of war and Biritish influence.

اين رمان، شرح وقايعي است كه در نيمه اول قرن بيستم در سرزمين برمه روي داده است. بخشي از اين وقايع مربوط به سرگذشت "تباو"، شاه برمه و ديگر درباريان است. او در مدت هفت سال حكومتش حتي يك بار از قصر خارج نشده است. يكي از همسرانش، "سوپايالات"، از همه شاهزاده خانم ها ي قصر با اراده تر و بلند پروازتر است. بر خلاف، "تباو" كه مردي آرام و سر به زير است. او خشن بود و دستور داد همه افراد خانواده سلطنتي را به قتل برسانند. او تا حدود زيادي باعث جنگ و نفوذ انگليسي ها بود.
