داستان درباره دو دوست است كه بعد از سالها يكديگر را در اصفهان ملاقات مي كنند. يكي از آنها "بهرام" نام دارد. او مرديست متمول، ولي از آخرين باري كه دوستش اورا ديده است پير تر شده و تمام موهايش يكدست سفيد شده است. دوستش از او مي پرسد كه چرا چنين شده است، آيا اتفاقي برايش افتاده كه او مي گويد از غصه ديگري اينطور شده است.
