Goli Taraghi (born October 9, 1939, Tehran) is an acclaimed Iranian writer, translator, and literature professor known for her poetic, memory-driven, and fluid prose. She studied philosophy at the Sorbonne in France and has lived there for many years. Taraghi’s works explore themes such as memory, exile, identity, love, and cultural decay, often portraying nostalgic images of old Tehran, traditional families, and women navigating historical transitions. Her notable books include Scattered Memories, The Pear Tree, The Great Lady of My Soul, A House in Heaven, The Shemiran Bus, and The Lives of Others. Her stories have been translated into several languages, and she is recognized for enriching Persian literature with a global and humanistic perspective.
گلی ترقی (زادهٔ 17 مهر 1318، تهران) نویسنده، مترجم و استاد ادبیات ایرانی است که با نثری شاعرانه، خاطره‌محور و روان، به یکی از چهره‌های برجستهٔ داستان‌نویسی معاصر فارسی تبدیل شده است. او تحصیلات خود را در رشتهٔ فلسفه در دانشگاه سوربن فرانسه گذراند و سال‌ها در آن کشور اقامت داشته است. ترقی در آثارش به مفاهیمی چون خاطره، مهاجرت، هویت، عشق، و زوال فرهنگی می‌پردازد و با روایت‌هایی از تهران قدیم، خانواده‌های سنتی، و زنان در گذار تاریخی، مخاطبان بسیاری را جذب کرده است. از آثار مهم او می‌توان به خاطره‌های پراکنده، درخت گلابی، بزرگ‌بانوی روح من، خانه‌ای در آسمان، اتوبوس شمیران، و زندگی دیگران اشاره کرد. آثار ترقی به زبان‌های مختلف ترجمه شده‌اند و او از نویسندگانی است که ادبیات فارسی را با نگاه جهانی و انسانی غنا بخشیده است.
