Mark Twain (real name: Samuel Langhorne Clemens, born November 30, 1835 – died April 21, 1910) was an American writer, humorist, journalist, and lecturer, widely regarded as one of the greatest authors in American literature. His novels The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer not only vividly depict life along the Mississippi River but also challenge social, racial, and moral issues of his time with wit, satire, and humanity. Twain’s style—marked by colloquial language, strong character development, and adventurous storytelling—has influenced generations of readers. Through travelogues, essays, and public speeches, he showcased his literary brilliance and became a symbol of American spirit and humor.
مارک تواین (نام واقعی: سامویل لنگهورن کلمنز، زادهٔ 30 نوامبر 1835 – درگذشتهٔ 21 آوریل 1910) نویسنده، طنزپرداز، روزنامه‌نگار و سخنران آمریکایی بود که به‌عنوان یکی از بزرگ‌ترین نویسندگان ادبیات آمریکا شناخته می‌شود. او با رمان‌های ماجراهای هاکلبری فین و ماجراهای تام سایر نه‌تنها تصویری زنده از زندگی در کنار رودخانهٔ می‌سی‌سی‌پی ارایه داد، بلکه با نگاهی انتقادی، طنزآمیز و انسانی، مسایل اجتماعی، نژادی و اخلاقی زمان خود را به چالش کشید. سبک او با زبان عامیانه، شخصیت‌پردازی قوی و روایت‌های پرماجرا، نسل‌های مختلف را تحت تأثیر قرار داده است. تواین همچنین در سفرنامه‌ها، مقالات و سخنرانی‌هایش، شوخ‌طبعی و نبوغ ادبی خود را به نمایش گذاشت و به نمادی از روح آمریکایی بدل شد.
