Kush-nama is a heroic-mythological epic composed by Iranshah ibn Abi al-Khayr. In this remarkable work, the reigns of three kings sharing the name “Kush” are intricately and skillfully interwoven into a single grand narrative.

Along this journey, readers follow Kush Pil-Dandan as he traverses vast lands, from the eastern realms of China and Korea all the way to Al-Andalus and the Maghreb. The poem also recounts the battles of legendary heroes such as Qaren, Qobad, and Nariman fighting in the service of the great Fereydun, while revisiting the dark age of Zahhak from a different perspective.
