As the title tells us, this book is the memoir of Ahmad Ali Masoud Ansari, a relative of Farah Diba and a close friend and financial advisor of Shah's son Reza Pahlavi, whose financial differences between him and the former crown prince of Iran were reflected in the Western press in the past years. The intensity of this conflict was such that Reza Pahlavi was forced to deny his Iranian nationality to advance his lawsuit in the US federal court, and this provoked fierce debates in the circles of the former regime's affiliates in Europe and America. This difference motivated Masoud Ansari's separation from the Pahlavi family and it continued until he started writing and publishing these memoirs, during which he revealed many secrets and untold things from his time in this family.

این کتاب همانگونه که عنوان به ما میگوید، خاطرات احمدعلی مسعود انصاری از خویشاوندان فرح دیبا و دوست نزدیک و مشاور مالی رضا پهلوی پسر شاه است، که در سال های گذشته اختلاف مالی وی و ولیعهد سابق ایران در مطبوعات غرب بازتاب یافت. شدت این درگیری تا بدان حد بود که رضا پهلوی برای پیشبرد دعوی خود در دادگاه فدرال آمریکا مجبور به انکار ملیت ایرانی خود شد و این امر بحث های شدیدی را در محافل وابستگان رژیم گذشته در اروپا و آمریکا برانگیخت. ظاهرا این اختلاف انگیزه ای برای گسست مسعود انصاری از خانواده پهلوی شد و تا بدانجا امتداد یافت که وی به نگارش و نشر این خاطرات پرداخت و طی آن اسرار و ناگفته های بسیار را از دوران حضور خود در این خانواده فاش نمود.
