In 1345, about ten people with doctorate degrees, mostly from American universities, gathered at the Faculty of Science and Literature of Shiraz University. Seven of us consulted together to propose a postgraduate course... The Pennsylvania Advisory Group did not agree with this proposal; They were right. They argued that this university is still too young and cannot afford to maintain the standard. Both sides emphasized our opinion and eventually the university president took our side... Two years after establishing a PhD in Shiraz Physics, I thought about postgraduate studies in Zanjan. Of the three people I hired in Shiraz in the first period, none had graduated yet, and none, but I also hired five others in the second period... I convinced the authorities of Shiraz University to commute between Zanjan and Shiraz and do both jobs. In this way, I went to Shiraz for four days every two weeks for seven years. On Thursday I would go to Tehran and from there to Shiraz, I would teach until Monday, I would return to Tehran on Monday evening, and from there I would come to Zanjan.
