سوئدی 1998
Muḥyiddīn ibn ʻArabīen minnesbok
Edited by Stephen Hirtenstein and Michael Tiernan, and translated into Swedish by Öjevind Lång, this volume was published by Alhambra Förlag in 1998 to commemorate the 750th anniversary of the death of Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi (1165–1240), the great Andalusian Sufi mystic and philosopher.
The book is divided into two main parts:
Part One features selected writings by Ibn Arabi himself, many translated into Swedish for the first time. These texts reflect his profound metaphysical insights and poetic expressions of divine love and unity.
Part Two includes essays and reflections by international scholars on Ibn Arabi’s legacy, exploring his influence on Islamic mysticism, philosophy, and contemporary spirituality.
This commemorative volume serves both as an introduction to Ibn Arabi’s thought and a scholarly tribute to his enduring impact across cultures and centuries.
