تتناول الروایه سیره شخصیه مرکبه لبطلها "ینال"، الذی یعمل مترجمًا فی قناه فضاییه قبل أن یختطف ویعذب ویفصل من عمله بتهمه ملفقه، بهدف الاستیلاء علی منزله. تدفعه هذه الأحداث إلی الهجره نحو إسبانیا، حیث یتحول إلی تاجر أسلحه کبیر، یعیش صراعًا داخلیًا بین الثأر والندم، وبین القوه والانکسار. الروایه تتسم ببنیه میتاسردیه، حیث تتداخل فیها روایتان: سرد الراوی المرکزی، ومخطوطه کتبها "ینال" نفسه، مما یضفی تعددیه صوتیه علی النص. العنوان "ینال" یحمل دلاله مزدوجه: فهو اسم البطل، وفعل مضارع یشیر إلی الحاضر، ویعکس صراع الإنسان مع واقعه، وسعیه نحو تحقیق الذات وسط عالم متناقض.
