"Urumiyah from ancient times to today" is a two-volume work that studies the history of Urmia with a new perspective and expresses the special features of this ancient city. Historical documents have been reread for the first time in this work, and with the help of old maps and pictures, the way to know the names of quays, passages, neighborhoods, gates, and tombs has been opened. The architecture and urban planning of Urmia, along with the introduction of the historical works of this city, constitute the major part of the contents of the present work. What role did Urmia play in the important historical events of the country is one of the other topics discussed in this series.

«ارومیه از دیرینه زمان تا امروز» اثری دوجلدی است که با دیدی نو به مطالعه‌ی تاریخچه‌ی ارومیه و بیان ویژگی‌های خاص این شهر باقدمت می‌پردازد. اسناد تاریخی برای نخستین بار در این اثر بازخوانی شده و با بهره از نقشه‌ها و تصاویر قدیمی راه شناخت اسامی کوی‌ها، گذرها، محلات، دروازه‌ها و آرامگاه‌ها گشوده شده است. معماری و شهرسازی ارومیه در کنار معرفی آثار تاریخی این شهر، بخش عمده‌ی مطالب اثر حاضر را تشکیل داده است. اینکه ارومیه چه نقشی در اتفاقات تاریخی مهم کشور داشته از دیگر مباحثی است که در این مجموعه مورد بحث قرار گرفته است.
