One of the basic questions for management researchers and managers is why companies operating in similar industries have different performances. In response to this question, the resource-based perspective sees the resources and capabilities under the control of companies as the most important cause of this difference, while the dynamic capabilities perspective finds the answer in capabilities. See that they give companies the ability to integrate, reconfigure, modernize, and rebuild resources. The resource-based perspective and dynamic capabilities are among the most important specific perspectives of management because both perspectives seek the source of competitive advantage within the organization. The purpose of Pesharo's book is to introduce the source-based perspective and dynamic capabilities to review the assumptions and intellectual principles of these two key and influential perspectives for Iranian managers and researchers.
