What is poetry? Expressive, melodious, and emotional expression of reality with the help of words is the means of expression in poetry and language is the means of expression of all types of literature. What distinguishes poetry from other literary genres is its compactness and melodiousness; If not, telecasting with the help of imagination and emotional expression has a clear place in all arts and in all literary genres. This is not the only art of language that deals with imagination and emotion and uses reality. Expressing reality is the work of all cognitions. In all the knowns, imagination and open, emotion are more or less expressed; Do they find more comprehensiveness and breadth in artistic knowledge? In the same way, language is both a means of expressing science, philosophy, and religion, and it is also a means of expressing literature. شعر چیست؟ بیان فشرده ،سیمایی آهنگین و عاطفی واقعیت به یاری واژه ها ابزار بیان در شعر زبان است و ،زبان ابزار بیان همه گونه های ادبیات نیز هست. آن چه شعر را از گونه های دیگر ادبی ویژگی می بخشد، فشردگی و آهنگینی است؛ اگر نه، سیما پردازی به یاری تخیل و بیان عاطفی در همۀ هنرها و در همه گونه های ادبی جایگاه روشنی .دارند این تنها هنر زبانی نیست که با تخیل و عاطفه سروکار دارد و از واقعیت بهره می گیرد بیان واقعیت کار همۀ شناخت ها است و در همه شناختها تخیل و باز ،عاطفه با بیشی و کمی نمود دارند؛ مگر در شناخت هنری فراگیری و گستردگی فراوان تری پیدا می کنند؛ همان گونه که ،زبان هم ابزار بیان علم و فلسفه و دین است و هم ابزار بیان ادبیات آن چه تفاوت پدید می آورد این است که در ،علم ،زبان که در سرشت خود مبهم است ابهام گریزی پیشه می کند و در ادبیات ابهام گرایی.
