The novel Patooq written by Parviz Masjidi is a story centered on the August 28 coup and the events after the coup. The main character of the story is a young man who works in an opium and tobacco shop, despite his inner desire and because of enduring unemployment for a long time, and the story is told in his own words. From the 23rd of July 1332, we will accompany the narrator and follow the events of the coup until the 30th of August. In the meantime, the narrator of the story gets to know a mob and joins their organization. In the middle of this, there is a love affair that becomes the salt of the story.

رمان پاتوق نوشته پرویز مسجدی داستانی با محوریت کودتای ۲۸ مرداد و وقایع پس از کودتا است. شخصیت اصلی داستان جوانی است که علی‌رغم میل باطنی‌اش و به دلیل تحمل مدت‌زیادی بیکاری، در یک دکان تریاک و دخانیات فروشی کار می‌کند و ماجرا از زبان او روایت می‌شود. از بیست و سه تیر ۱۳۳۲ ما با راوی همراه می‌شویم و تا سی ویک مرداد وقایع کودتا را دنبال می‌کنیم. در این بین راوی داستان با یک توده‌ای آشنا می‌شود و به تشکیلات آنها می‌پیوندد. این وسط یک ماجرای عشقی هم پیش می‌آید که نمک داستان می‌شود.
