"Pericles" was a very influential politician who oversaw the domestic and foreign policies of Athens for more than 30 years. In the 4th century AD, the Greeks gradually and out of enthusiasm from a part of the previous century called it the Golden Age or the fifty-year period. This period lasted from 479 to 431 AD. In this short but very magnificent period, Athens, the largest and most magnificent city-state of Greece, reached its political and cultural peak. The huge achievements of a talented and unique generation of artists as well as architects, sculptors, playwrights, and philosophers. The reformers of Athenian democracy amazed and inspired all subsequent generations of mankind. Later generations have called this fruitful period "Pericles Age" in order to appreciate Pericles, the politician, statesman, and general who ruled the city-state of Athens for most of this fifty-year period. When he becomes the leader of Athens, he makes this city one of the biggest and richest cities. As in the majority of modern studies, Pericles and his era have been regarded as the complete realization of human effort and cultural harmony.
