The book The Sea-Goers of the Bluer Island is written by Abbas Maroufi (born 1957), a contemporary Iranian novelist, playwright, publisher, and journalist. Maroufi rose to prominence with his novel Symphony of the Dead, which established him as one of the most celebrated Iranian writers of his generation. Since then, numerous other works by him have been published.
The Sea-Goers of the Bluer Island is a collection of Maroufi’s short stories, comprising four pieces titled “The Scent of Jasmine,” “The Last Superior Generation,” “Small Cuts,” and “Several Other Stories.” Most of the stories in this volume are set in the period following the Iran–Iraq War, and the lingering psychological and social effects of the war can be traced in the lives and inner worlds of the characters.

کتاب «دریا روندگان جزیره آبی تر» نوشته عباس معروفی( 1336)، نویسنده، نمایشنامه نویس، ناشر و روزنامه نگار معاصر است. معروفی با نوشتن رمان «سمفونی مردگان» تبدیل به یکی از مشهورترین نویسندگان ایرانی شده و تاکنون آثار مختلفی از او نیز منتشرشده است. این کتاب مجموعه داستان های کوتاه معروفی است که شامل چهار داستان کوتاه به نامه های «عطر یاس»، «آخرین نسل برتر»، «برش های کوچک» و «چند داستان دیگر» است. اکثر داستان های این مجموعه در فضای روزهای بعد از جنگ تحمیلی نوشته شده و تاثیرات جنگ را در شخصیت ها می توان جست وجو کرد.
