Pan-Turanism as a political call to unite the Turks of the world is a relatively new and late movement; Its intellectual grounds were provided in the early 20th century, and during the final stages of the First World War, it was transformed into a practical plan for the expansion of the Ottoman Turks towards Iran, the Caucasus, and Central Asia; A call that, despite several ups and downs, never left Turkey's political horizon, and today we are witnessing a new round of it. The present book, written by "Zare Vand" alias "Zwan and Vartohi Nalbandian", is one of the first and most comprehensive researches that was published shortly after the first round of ups and downs of this movement in the mid-1920s.

پان تورانیسم به عنوان یک فراخوان سیاسی جهت اتحاد ترکان جهان، حرکتی نسبتا جدید و متاخر است؛ زمینه های فکری اش در اوایل قرن بیستم فراهم شد و در خلال مراحل پایانی جنگ اول جهانی در یک برنامه عملی جهت توسعه طلبی ترکان عثمانی به سمت ایران، قفقاز و آسیای میانه تبدیل شد؛ فراخوانی که به رغم افت و خیزهایی چند، هیچ گاه از افق سیاسی ترکیه خارج نشد و امروزه نیز شاهد دور جدیدی از آن هستیم. کتاب حاضر، به قلم « زاره واند » نام مستعار « زوان و وارتوهی نعلبندیان »، یکی از نخستین و جامع ترین پژوهش هایی است که در اندک زمانی بعد از دور اول فراز و فرود این حرکت در اواسط دهه 1920 میلادی منتشر شد.
