The Daieries of Asadollah Alam in 6 Volume This is the original Persian of the diaries of Assadollah Alam. They are probably the most important document about the inner workings of the Mohammad Reza Pahlavi period. They were written as personal diary entries by the person closest to the Shah, sometimes called his "best friend". They relate candidly the inner workings of the court; the Shah's decision making regarding national affairs; international affairs and affairs of the heart. So far five volumes have been published. A volume six is scheduled to be published by the beginning of 2006 This is the complete unabridged work. A summary English translation was published in 1992. EDITOR Dr. Alinaghi Alikhani, the editor, was both an aide and confidant to Alam.
