برگردان روايت‏گونه شاهنامه فردوسي به نثر، به قلم نويسنده، شاعر و استاد دکتر سيد محمد دبيرسياقي است. وي از ارکان چهارگانه بنياد لغت‌نامه دهخدا و مصحح بسياري از متن‌هاي کهن فارسي‌است. شاهنامه‌ي فردوسي تنها تاريخ و روايات داستاني و اساطيري ايران قديم نيست. شاهنامه فرهنگِ ايران است از آغاز تا پايان قرنِ چهار هجري با تمام مظاهرش، گنجي است که فردوسي براي ايران و ايراني بر جاي نهاده است. دکتر دبيرسياقي براي استفاده از اين گنجينه‌ي گرانبها و نيز براي سهولت اطلاع از مضمون و محتواي شاهنامه، و استفاده‌ي عموم از آن، تمامي اشعار و داستان‏هاي شاهنامه را به نثر ساده و روان برگردانده است.
