The author of this research has tried to contribute to the completion of research in this field by introducing the writings and views of German-speaking experts. Therefore, the book begins with an overview of the history of German literature in recent decades and how it was formed in norm-breaking movements and summarizing the most important themes of literary criticism: - The first chapter is dedicated to the introduction of currents and works that, due to innovation in literary form and language, do not fit into the common frameworks of literary criticism, and some of them are considered pioneers of postmodernist approaches in German language literature. - The second chapter has analyzed the position of German philosophy in the genealogy of postmodernism and the differences and alignment of this trend with the Frankfurt School and hermeneutic approaches that have had a significant impact on the orientations of theoretical sciences and German literature. - In the third and fourth chapters, two examples of successful novels have been interpreted, which have reflected the most important components of postmodernist works, such as the death of the subject, the absence of meaning, and the transition from the grand narratives to innovative measures. - The last chapter introduced the works that were not developed in the context of literary postmodernism, but presented an amalgam of different narrative methods and procedures that opened the way for their postmodern reading and...
